Tuna Pasta Salad
About this recipe
A creamy, crowd-pleasing tuna pasta salad loaded with tender pasta, flaky canned tuna, crisp celery, red onion, and sweet relish — all tossed in a tangy mayo-based dressing. It's pantry-friendly, budget-smart, and comes together in under 30 minutes. Perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or potlucks.
Instructions
- 1
Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil. Cook the rotini according to package directions until al dente. Drain in a colander and rinse under cold running water until completely cool. Shake off excess water and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
- 2
While the rotini cooks, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a small mixing bowl until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- 3
Add the drained tuna, sliced celery, diced red onion, and thawed peas to the bowl with the cooled rotini. Pour the dressing over the top and toss everything together until evenly coated.
- 4
Taste and adjust salt, black pepper, or lemon juice as needed. For best results, cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve cold.
