1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Homii ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Homii is an AI-powered family meal planning platform that helps households plan meals, manage recipes, create shopping lists, and coordinate cooking activities. Our Service includes:

AI-generated meal plans and recipe recommendations
Recipe management and storage
Automated shopping list generation
Family member preference tracking
Calendar integration (optional): If you connect Google Calendar, Homii's access to and use of Google user data is described in our Privacy Policy under "Google Calendar and Google user data," including Google's Limited Use requirements.

3. Account Registration

To use Homii, you must create an account. The person who creates or manages a household account must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where they live) and able to enter a binding contract. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Be responsible for all activities under your account

Children under 13 may only receive a Homii kid account after a parent or legal guardian provides verifiable parental consent. Teens may use Homii subject to household rules and applicable law. Parents are responsible for supervising minors' use of the Service.

4. Subscription and Payments

Homii offers both free and paid subscription tiers:

Free Tier: Limited features for individual use
Family Plus: Full features for family collaboration
Family Plus AI: Enhanced AI features and unlimited usage

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create or upload to Homii, including recipes, meal plans, and family information. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to use this content to provide and improve our Service.

You agree not to upload content that:

Violates any applicable laws
Infringes on intellectual property rights
Contains malicious code or harmful content
Violates the privacy of others

6. AI-Generated and AI-Adapted Content

Homii uses artificial intelligence throughout the Service. Recipes and cooking guidance in Homii reach you in different ways, and it matters which:

Generated: Recipes, meal plans, and suggestions that Homii creates. No cook wrote or tested them, and they have not been kitchen-tested by us.
Adapted: An existing recipe that Homii has changed for you — scaled to a different number of servings, converted between metric and imperial, rewritten into steps, or altered by an ingredient substitution or a technique swap. An adapted recipe is no longer the original recipe, and its author has neither reviewed nor endorsed the version you see.
Imported: A recipe you brought in from a link, a photo, or a social post. Homii uses AI to read, structure, and sometimes rewrite it. Anything the AI misreads in the original becomes an error in your copy, so check imported recipes against their source.
Images: Recipe, collection, and ingredient images may be AI-generated illustrations rather than photographs. They show an interpretation of a dish, not the food you will make.

Adaptation can change quantities, timings, temperatures, and techniques in ways that change how a dish turns out — or whether it is safe to eat. Treat an adapted or generated recipe as a starting point that you check, not as tested instructions.

You are responsible for having the right to import and store recipes and other content you bring into Homii from third parties. Imported content remains subject to the rights of whoever created it.

While we strive for accuracy:

AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only
Always verify nutritional information, allergen content, and measurements — especially where an allergy or a medical dietary restriction is involved
We are not responsible for adverse reactions to AI-suggested meals
You are responsible for using safe food handling, storage, preparation, and cooking practices, including checking doneness and following applicable food safety guidance
AI-generated recipes or cooking guidance may suggest ingredients, techniques, cook times, or doneness levels that are unsafe or unsuitable for you, such as undercooked meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, or other foods
Homii is not responsible for foodborne illness, sickness, injury, or other harm resulting from foods you prepare, consume, store, or serve based on content from the Service
Consult healthcare professionals for specific dietary needs

7. Household Sharing

When you invite family members to your Homii household:

They will have access to shared household data
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent
Different roles (Owner, Editor, Viewer) have different permissions
Household owners can manage member access at any time

8. Text Messages (SMS)

Homii sends text messages only to people who have asked to receive them. Message frequency varies depending on how you use the Service. Message and data rates may apply.

How you opt in: You opt in by giving us your mobile number and turning on a consent switch that names Homii AI as the sender — for example the "I agree to receive text messages from Homii AI" switch beside the mobile field when you RSVP to an event, the same switch when you add your number in your Homii settings, or when you enable text notifications there. Every such switch starts Off, consent is never a condition of creating an account, making a purchase, or accepting these Terms, and we do not text a number until someone has turned it on.
What we send: Verification codes, household and event invitations, RSVP and signup reminders, assignment notices, and schedule changes for events you are part of. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How to opt out: Reply STOP to any Homii text message to stop receiving them. You will get one confirmation message and then no further texts. You can also turn text messages off in your Homii settings, or email support@gethomii.ai.
Help: Reply HELP to any Homii text message, or email support@gethomii.ai.
Delivery: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by your carrier, your device, or coverage.

If you give us someone else's mobile number — for example when you invite guests to an event or members to your household — you confirm that you have that person's permission to share their number with us and to have Homii text them about that invitation.

9. Intellectual Property

The Homii Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Homii AI, Inc. and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOMII SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
