Instructions

  1. Using a #[Mandoline] or a sharp #[Knife], slice the @[Large Apples] crosswise into very thin rounds, about 1/16 inch thick. Remove any seeds. Pat the slices dry with #[Paper Towel] to remove excess moisture — this is key for crispiness.
  2. In a small #[Mixing Bowl], combine the @[Granulated Sugar], @[Ground Cinnamon], and @[Fine Sea Salt]. Toss the @[Large Apples] slices with the @[Lemon Juice] and melted @[Coconut Oil] (and @[Vanilla Extract] if using), then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over both sides of each slice.
  3. Preheat your #[Air Fryer] to ![300°F]. Arrange the @[Large Apples] slices in a single layer in the #[Air Fryer] basket — do not overlap. Work in batches as needed. Air fry for ~[8–10 minutes], flip each slice carefully, then continue cooking for another ~[8–10 minutes] until the edges are curled and the chips look dry and lightly golden.
  4. Remove the chips from the #[Air Fryer] and let them cool on a wire rack or flat surface for ~[5–10 minutes] — they will continue to crisp up as they cool. Drizzle with @[Maple Syrup] if desired. Serve immediately or store in an #[Airtight Container] at room temperature for up to ~[2 days].
