Combine the ¼ cup honey and ¼ cup water in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir constantly for 2–3 minutes until the ¼ cup honey is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature, about 5 minutes.

Juice the 1 tsp orange zest finely grated, ⅓ cup fresh lemon juice, and ¼ cup fresh lime juice. Strain the juice through a sieve into a pitcher to remove any seeds or pulp. Stir in the 1 tsp orange zest finely grated if using.

Add the cooled ¼ cup honey syrup to the citrus juice in the pitcher and stir well to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding a little more ¼ cup honey syrup if desired.
