
Honey Garlic Chicken

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towel and season all over with salt and black pepper. Place them in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic minced, ketchup, rice vinegar, sesame oil (if using), and red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken thighs.

Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or on HIGH for 2–2.5 hours, until the chicken thighs is cooked through and very tender (internal temperature reaches %[165°F]).

Carefully transfer the cooked chicken thighs to a plate. Pour the cooking liquid from the slow cooker into a saucepan over ^[medium-high heat]. In a mixing bowl, stir together the cornstarch and cold water until smooth, then whisk the slurry into the saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring constantly, for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens to a glossy glaze.
