Instructions

  1. Preheat your #[Oven] to ![375°F]. Line a large #[Baking Sheet] with #[Aluminum Foil] for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small #[Mixing Bowl], combine the softened @[Butter], minced @[Garlic], fresh @[Parsley], @[Salt], @[Black Pepper], and @[Garlic Powder]. Mix thoroughly with a fork until everything is evenly incorporated. If using, stir in the @[Parmesan Cheese]. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  3. Slice the @[Italian or French Bread Loaf] in half lengthwise so you have two long flat halves. Place them cut-side up on the prepared #[Baking Sheet].
  4. Spread the garlic @[Butter] evenly across the cut surface of both bread halves, all the way to the edges so every bite is flavorful.
  5. Bake at ![375°F] for ~[10–12 minutes], until the @[Butter] is fully melted and the bread is heated through and just starting to turn golden at the edges.
  6. Switch the #[Oven] to ^[broil on HIGH]. #[Broiler] the bread for ~[1–3 minutes], watching closely, until the top is golden brown and crispy. Do not walk away — it can go from golden to burnt very quickly!
  7. Remove from the #[Oven] and let cool for ~[1–2 minutes]. Slice into individual portions (about 2-inch pieces) using a serrated bread #[Knife] and serve immediately.
