A rich, silky, and deeply chocolatey fondue that's as fun to make as it is to eat. This classic recipe uses a simple combination of heavy cream, quality chocolate, and a splash of vanilla for a luscious dipping sauce that stays perfectly smooth. Ideal for date nights, family gatherings, or any occasion that calls for something a little indulgent. Serve with fresh fruit, marshmallows, pound cake, and more for a crowd-pleasing dessert experience.

Finely chop the Semi-Sweet Chocolate and place it in a heatproof Mixing Bowl or the insert of your Fondue Pot. The finer the chop, the faster and more evenly it will melt.

In a small Saucepan over medium heat, warm the Heavy Cream until it just begins to simmer — small bubbles will form around the edges. Do not let it boil.

Pour the hot cream over the chopped Semi-Sweet Chocolate. Let it sit undisturbed for 2 minutes to allow the Semi-Sweet Chocolate to soften.

Add the Butter pieces, Pure Vanilla Extract, and Fine Salt. Starting from the center and working outward, Whisk slowly and steadily until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy. If using Liqueur, stir it in now.

If the Semi-Sweet Chocolate is not fully melted, place the Mixing Bowl over a Pot of barely simmering water (double-boiler style) and stir gently until smooth. Alternatively, Microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until melted.

Transfer the finished fondue to a Fondue Pot set over a low tea-light flame or the lowest burner setting to keep it warm and fluid. If you don't have a Fondue Pot, a small Slow Cooker on the 'warm' setting works great.

Arrange all your dipping items on a large Serving Platters (Large) or Cutting Board around the Fondue Pot: Strawberries, Banana slices, Marshmallows, Pound Cake or brownie cubes, Pretzels, and Apple slices.

Skewer dippers with fondue forks or Bamboo Steamer and dip into the warm Semi-Sweet Chocolate. Twirl gently as you pull out to catch any drips. Enjoy immediately!
