Frozen Margaritas
About this recipe
The ultimate classic frozen margarita — icy, tangy, and perfectly balanced with fresh lime juice, good tequila, and a touch of orange liqueur. This blender recipe is endlessly reliable, totally crowd-pleasing, and ready in under 10 minutes. Serve in salt-rimmed glasses for the full cantina experience.
Instructions
- 1
Pour the Coarse Kosher Salt onto a small flat Pie Dish. Run a cut Lime wedge around the outer rim of each glass to moisten it. Dip the rim into the Salt and rotate gently to coat. Set the glasses aside (or place them in the Ziploc Bag (Pint Size) to chill while you blend).
- 2
Juice your Limes. You need 3/4 cup of fresh Lime Juice — this is about 6 to 8 Limes depending on their size. Roll each Lime firmly on the counter before cutting to get the most juice.
- 3
Add the Tequila, Triple Sec, fresh Lime Juice, and Simple Syrup to the Blender.
- 4
Add 4 cups of Ice. Place the lid on the Blender securely and blend on high for 30–45 seconds, until the mixture is completely smooth and slushy with no large ice chunks remaining.
- 5
Taste the margarita. If it's too tart, add a splash more Simple Syrup and blend for 5 seconds. If it's too sweet, squeeze in a little extra Lime Juice. If it's too thick, add a small splash of Water and blend again briefly.
- 6
Pour immediately into your Salt-rimmed glasses. Garnish each with a Lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve right away — frozen margaritas are best enjoyed immediately while icy cold.
