Toast the nuts (if using): Place chopped Walnuts or Pecans in a dry Skillet over medium heat. Stir frequently for 3–4 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden. Transfer to a plate to cool. Set aside.

In a medium Saucepan, combine the Heavy Cream, Light Corn Syrup, Brown Sugar, Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, and Fine Salt. Whisk well to combine, then bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.

Once simmering, reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and immediately add the chopped Semi-Sweet Chocolate and Butter. Let sit for 1 minute, then Whisk until completely smooth and glossy.

Stir in the Pure Vanilla Extract. The sauce will thicken as it cools. Set aside and keep warm.
