Brown the 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks, stirring frequently. Continue cooking for 4–5 minutes until the 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks foams, then turns golden and smells nutty with brown specks at the bottom. Pour immediately into a large mixing bowl and let cool for 10 minutes.
