One glance answers the question you were going to text about. Live pins on iPhone, Android and the web, with a place name instead of a coordinate — and a grey pin when a phone hasn't checked in, because pretending is worse than admitting it.
Over time
Arrivals and departures build into a plain-language pattern per person, with a confidence dot count and the number of weeks behind it. Concrete times, never vague ones. If there isn't enough history yet, the Patterns tab says so instead of inventing a number.
The wedge
Three Tuesdays at Swim Club is not a coincidence, it's a commitment. Homii offers it as a calendar event once, with the reason attached, and takes "not a thing" for an answer. Life360 has no calendar to put it on.

Privacy
This feature learns where a family goes. That earns a plain answer to every obvious question, up front, not in a settings screen you have to go find.
Life360 shows you where people are. Homii shows what that means for your household — who's home before you start dinner, which places matter, and the rhythm the week actually has. Same app as the meal plan and the family calendar, so location has somewhere to land.
Find My only works when everyone has an iPhone, and half of real households don't. Homii runs on Android and iOS with background sharing on mobile, plus a live web map for the parent at a desk.
After a few weeks of ordinary coming and going, Homii can say when someone is usually home — with a concrete time and the number of weeks it's based on. When the same visit repeats three times, it offers the calendar event nobody remembered to create, once, with the reason attached.

Yes. Homii is cross-platform — every family member shares from their own smartphone, Android or iPhone, and parents can watch the live map on the web too. That's the whole reason this exists: Find My is an Apple-only answer to a mixed-phone problem.
Life360 does live location, places and driving safety well, and it charges its own subscription for it. Homii doesn't do driving reports or collision alerts at all. What Homii does instead is learn each person's arrival and departure patterns, offer a repeated visit as a family calendar event, and sit in the same app as your meal plan — none of which Life360 or Find My can do, because neither has a calendar or a kitchen.

Their own patterns, what's being kept about them, how long it's kept, and who in the household can see it — in their own app, not buried in a parent's settings. Silent profiling of a 16-year-old is the thing we're deliberately not doing.
12 months of learned patterns for adults and 90 days for anyone under 18; households in the EU and UK are capped at 90 days for everyone. A parent can shorten a minor's window but never extend it past the household setting. “Delete everything learned” wipes one person's patterns without turning their sharing off, and full export and account erasure cover the same data. None of it trains any cross-household model.
Yes. A guest share link shows a temporary live map in any browser — scoped to one member or the whole family, with an expiry you choose and a revoke button. Guest links show live pins only: never patterns, never history, never anything Homii has learned.
Family Map is usable today, but background reliability, battery use and alert delivery are still being tuned — phones are genuinely hostile to background location. You'll see a Beta badge until it clears our GA quality bar, and we'd rather badge it than quietly overpromise.
No. Continuous background location is mobile-only and opt-in per adult. The web app shows the household map and lets you toggle your own sharing; it does not follow you around a browser.
