  • 20–25 min
  • 300°F

Day-old or dried 1 lb pan blanco de sándwich (aproximadamente 12 tazas) is key. If your 1 lb pan blanco de sándwich (aproximadamente 12 tazas) is fresh, spread the cubes on a large Baking Sheet in a single layer and bake at 300°F for 20–25 minutes, tossing once halfway through, until dry and very lightly golden. Let cool completely. You can also leave the cubed 1 lb pan blanco de sándwich (aproximadamente 12 tazas) out uncovered overnight.

Uses

  • Baking Sheet
  • 350°F

Preheat your Oven to 350°F. Grease a Baking Dish with 8 tbsp mantequilla sin sal dividida or Cooking Spray and set aside.

  • Medium

In a large Skillet over medium heat, melt 6 tbsp of the 8 tbsp mantequilla sin sal dividida. Add the diced 1 cebolla amarilla grande picada and 4 tallos de apio picados, incluyendo hojas si están presentes and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and translucent, about 8–10 minutes. Add the minced 4 dientes de ajo picados and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.

Uses

  • Skillet
  • 5 min

Remove the Skillet from heat. Stir in the chopped 3 tbsp salvia fresca finamente picada, 1 tbsp hojas de tomillo fresco sin tallos, 2 tbsp perejil fresco de hoja plana finamente picado (if using), 1 tsp sal kosher, 1 tsp sal kosher, and ¼ tsp nuez moscada molida (if using). Let the mixture cool for 5 minutes.

Uses

  • Skillet

Place the dried 1 lb pan blanco de sándwich (aproximadamente 12 tazas) cubes in a very large Mixing Bowl. Pour the vegetable and herb mixture over the 1 lb pan blanco de sándwich (aproximadamente 12 tazas) and toss gently to combine.

Uses

  • Mixing Bowl

In a small Mixing Bowl or Measuring Cups, whisk together the warm 2 ½ cups caldo de pollo bajo en sodio calentado and beaten 2 huevos grandes ligeramente batidos. Pour this mixture over the 1 lb pan blanco de sándwich (aproximadamente 12 tazas) in thirds, gently folding after each addition. The 1 lb pan blanco de sándwich (aproximadamente 12 tazas) should be evenly moistened — it should feel moist and hold together when pressed, but not be soggy or wet. Add a splash more 2 ½ cups caldo de pollo bajo en sodio calentado if it seems too dry.

Uses

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring Cups

Transfer the stuffing mixture to the prepared Baking Dish and spread it into an even layer. Cut the remaining 2 tbsp of 8 tbsp mantequilla sin sal dividida into small pieces and dot them over the top of the stuffing.
