Prepare the salt rim (optional but classic): Pour 2 tbsp sal kosher onto a small flat plate. Run a lime wedge around the outer rim of each glass to moisten it. Gently press and roll the moistened rim into the 2 tbsp sal kosher to coat. Set aside.

Uses

  • Lime Wedge
  • Salt
  • Lime Juice

Juice your 2 oz jugo de lima fresco fresh. You'll need about 2–3 limes to yield 2 oz of jugo de lima fresco. Fresh jugo de lima fresco makes a dramatic difference — avoid bottled 2 oz jugo de lima fresco if at all possible.

Uses

  • Lime Juice

Fill your cocktail shaker with a generous handful of hielo. Add the 4 oz tequila blanco 100% agave recomendado, fresh jugo de lima fresco, 1 ½ oz licor de naranja Cointreau, and ½ oz néctar de agave.

Uses

  • Shaker
  • Tequila
  • Agave Nectar
  • 15–20 min

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and frosty. This properly chills and dilutes the cocktail to the right balance.

Uses

  • Shaker

Fill your prepared glasses with fresh hielo. Strain the margarita over the 1 cup hielo using the shaker's built-in strainer or a separate colander.

  • Shaker
  • Colander

Garnish each glass with a lime wedge on the rim. Taste and adjust — if it's too tart, add a small drizzle more ½ oz néctar de agave; if too sweet, add a small squeeze of jugo de lima fresco. Serve immediately.

  • Lime Wedge
  • Lime Juice
  • Agave Nectar
