Spring Berry Sangria
About this recipe
A bright, refreshing white wine sangria bursting with fresh spring berries, citrus, and a splash of elderflower liqueur. This crowd-pleasing pitcher drink is easy to make ahead, gets better as it sits, and is perfect for brunches, garden parties, and warm-weather gatherings. Light, fruity, and just sweet enough — no bartending skills required.
Instructions
- 1
In a large pitcher (Large), whisk together the honey (or honey) and fresh lemon juice until the honey is fully dissolved. This ensures even sweetness throughout the sangria.
- 2
Add the elderflower liqueur and brandy to the pitcher (Large) and stir to combine.
- 3
Add the sliced strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, lemon rounds, and orange rounds to the pitcher (Large).
- 4
Pour in the entire bottle of dry white wine and stir gently with a long wooden spoon to combine everything without crushing the berries.
- 5
Cover the pitcher (Large) and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 8 hours. The longer it sits, the more the fruit infuses the wine. Do not add the sparkling water yet.
- 6
Just before serving, stir in the chilled sparkling water or sparkling water gently to preserve the bubbles.
- 7
Fill wine glasses with ice. Pour the sangria over the ice, making sure each glass gets a generous scoop of the fruit. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint if desired and serve immediately.
