Instructions
- Wash and trim the @[Green Beans], snapping or cutting off the stem ends. Pat them dry with a paper towel — dry @[Green Beans] sauté instead of steam.
- Heat a large #[Skillet] over ^[medium-high heat]. Add the @[Olive Oil] and @[Butter]. Once the @[Butter] is melted and the pan is hot (but not smoking), add the @[Green Beans] in a single layer. Let them cook undisturbed for ~[2–3 minutes] until they begin to blister and char slightly on one side.
- Toss the @[Green Beans] and continue to sauté for another ~[3–4 minutes], stirring occasionally, until they are bright green, tender-crisp, and lightly browned in spots. Season with @[Kosher Salt] and @[Black Pepper].
- Reduce the heat to ^[medium-low] and push the @[Green Beans] to the edges of the pan. Add the sliced @[Garlic] to the center and cook for ~[60–90 seconds], stirring constantly, until fragrant and just golden — watch carefully so it doesn't burn.
- Toss everything together. If using, add the @[Red Pepper Flakes] and toasted sliced @[Almonds] and toss to combine. Squeeze the @[Lemon Juice] over the top, taste, and adjust seasoning. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with @[Fresh Parsley] if desired. Serve immediately.
