Instructions

  1. In a small #[Mixing Bowl], whisk together the @[Extra-Virgin Olive Oil], @[Red Wine Vinegar], @[Dijon Mustard], @[Oregano], @[Garlic Powder], @[Red Pepper Flakes] (if using), @[Fine Sea Salt], and @[Black Pepper] until emulsified. Taste and adjust seasoning. Set aside.
  2. On a large #[Cutting Board], pile the chopped @[Genoa Salami], @[Deli Ham], @[Provolone Cheese], shredded @[Iceberg Lettuce], diced @[Roma Tomatoes], @[Red Onion], and @[Pepperoncini Peppers] together in one big mound. Using a large #[Knife], chop everything together, rocking the blade back and forth until the mixture is uniformly chopped into small, bite-sized pieces — this is the signature viral technique.
  3. Drizzle the prepared dressing over the chopped filling right on the #[Cutting Board]. Use the #[Knife] or a #[Spatula] to toss and fold everything together until evenly coated. Taste and add more @[Fine Sea Salt], @[Black Pepper], or @[Red Wine Vinegar] as needed.
  4. Lightly toast the @[Hoagie Rolls] in a #[Toaster Oven] or under the #[Broiler] for ~[2–3 minutes] until just golden. Slice each roll open and pile a generous heap of the dressed chopped filling into each one. Press down gently, slice in half, and serve immediately.
