Drain all canned or jarred toppings — ½ cup sweetened red beans (adzuki) canned or jarred, ½ cup nata de coco (coconut gel), ½ cup kaong, ½ cup sweetened jackfruit, ½ cup macapuno strings, and ½ cup sweetened white beans (kabayo) canned — and transfer each to small mixing bowls. Slice the 4 slices leche flan cut into cubes into bite-sized cubes and slice the 1 medium ripe banana into rounds. Set everything out assembly-line style so building each glass is quick and easy.

Spoon in a tablespoon of ube halaya (purple yam jam) store-bought or homemade and nestle in a few cubes of leche flan cut into cubes. The layering order is flexible — variety and color are the goal.

Pile 1½ to 2 cups of finely 8 cups shaved ice finely shaved over the toppings in each glass (Large), mounding it generously above the rim. 8 cups shaved ice finely shaved (not crushed) is key — it should be light and fluffy so it absorbs the milk and melts into the toppings rather than sitting on top.

Serve immediately with a long spoon and straw — the fun is mixing everything together before eating.
