Instructions

  1. Measure all your spices — @[Turmeric], @[Cinnamon], @[Ginger], @[Black Pepper], and @[Cardamom] (if using) — into a small #[Saucepan]. This keeps the process smooth and ensures even distribution.
  2. Pour the @[Milk] into the #[Saucepan] with the spices. Add the @[Coconut Oil] or @[Butter] if using. Whisk everything together until the spices are evenly dispersed — there will be no clumping if you whisk before heating.
  3. Heat the mixture over ^[medium-low heat], whisking frequently, until it is steaming hot and just beginning to simmer around the edges. Do not let it boil — boiling can scorch the @[Milk] and dull the spice flavor. This takes about ~[5 to 7 minutes].
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in the @[Honey] (or @[Maple Syrup]) and @[Vanilla Extract] if using. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice level to your preference.
  5. Optional but recommended: pour the latte through a fine mesh #[Colander] into your #[Mug] to remove any undissolved spice particles, resulting in a silky smooth drink.
  6. For a frothy finish, use a #[Milk Frother] or #[Immersion Blender] to briefly blend the latte directly in the #[Saucepan] or a tall #[Mug] before pouring. This creates a beautiful, café-style foam. Serve immediately in warm #[Mug] and dust with a tiny pinch of @[Cinnamon] on top.
