  • 350°F

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a glass dish (9 x 12 x 2 inch) (or an equivalent 2-quart dish) with 6 tbsp unsalted butter or cooking spray.

Uses

  • Oven
  • Glass Dish (9 x 12 x 2 Inch)
  • Cooking Spray
  • Unsalted Butter

In a mixing bowl, combine the 6 cups mixed berries fresh or frozen, 3 tbsp granulated sugar, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tsp lemon zest, and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Toss gently until the berries are evenly coated. Pour the berry mixture into the prepared glass dish (9 x 12 x 2 inch) and spread into an even layer.

In the same mixing bowl, stir together the 1 ½ cups certified gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats, ½ cup almond flour blanched, ½ cup light brown sugar, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, ¼ tsp ground nutmeg, and ¼ tsp fine sea salt. Add the cold cubed 6 tbsp unsalted butter and use your fingertips to work it into the oat mixture until it resembles coarse, clumpy crumbs with some pea-sized pieces of unsalted butter remaining. Fold in the ½ cup roughly chopped pecans if using.

  • Fine Sea Salt
  • 38–42 min

Scatter 1 ½ cups certified gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats evenly over the berry filling. Bake in the preheated oven for 38–42 minutes, until the topping is deep golden brown and the berry filling is bubbling up around the edges.
