  • 350°F

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or 4 tbsp mantequilla sin sal.

Uses

  • Oven
  • Baking Dish
  • Cooking Spray

Using a long serrated knife, slice the entire slab of rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected as one piece. Place the bottom slab cut-side up in the prepared baking dish.

Uses

  • Knife
  • Baking Dish
  • Hawaiian Roll

Spread the ½ cup aderezo Thousand Island evenly over the cut side of the bottom slab of panecillos hawaianos dulces.

Uses

  • Thousand Island Dressing

Layer half of the queso suizo slices evenly over the dressing. Then pile on all of the carne de res en conserva in an even layer.

Uses

  • Thousand Island Dressing

Spread the drained chucrut evenly over the 1 lb carne de res en conserva. Make sure it is as dry as possible — excess moisture will make the rolls soggy. Top with the remaining queso suizo slices.

Uses

  • Hawaiian Roll

Place the top slab of panecillos hawaianos dulces over the fillings and press down gently.

  • Medium-low

Make the 4 tbsp mantequilla sin sal glaze: melt the 4 tbsp mantequilla sin sal in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in the 1 tsp salsa Worcestershire, 1 tsp mostaza Dijon, 1 tsp azúcar morena, ½ tsp ajo en polvo, and 1 tsp semillas de alcaravea (if using) until combined. Remove from heat and stir in the 1 tbsp perejil fresco finamente picado if using.

Uses

  • Saucepan
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dijon Mustard

Brush the 4 tbsp mantequilla sin sal glaze generously over the tops and sides of the rolls, using all of it.

Uses

  • Hawaiian Roll
  • 15 min

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. This steams the sliders and melts the cheese through.

Uses

  • Baking Dish
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Swiss Cheese
  • 5 min

Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and slightly crisp.

Uses

  • Aluminum Foil
  • Brown Sugar
  • 2–3 min
