Instrucciones
- 1
Bring Water to a boil using a Kettle or Saucepan, then let it rest for 30–60 seconds so it's just off the boil (around ![200–205°F]). Boiling Water can make the drink taste harsh and will drive off the Whiskey's aroma.
- 2
Warm your Mug by filling it with hot Water, letting it sit for 30 seconds, then discarding the Water. A warm Mug keeps your toddy hot much longer.
- 3
Add the Honey to the warmed Mug. Pour a small splash of the hot Water over the Honey and stir well until it is fully dissolved and no thick streaks remain.
- 4
Add the fresh Lemon Juice and stir to combine with the Honey mixture.
- 5
Pour in the Whiskey and stir gently.
- 6
Top with the remaining hot Water (about 5–6 oz total), filling the Mug to about ¾ full. Stir once more to combine everything.
- 7
Add the Cinnamon Stick and press the whole cloves into the Lemon slice. Float the Lemon wheel on top of the drink and rest the Cinnamon Stick against the rim. Add a Star Anise for extra aroma if desired. Serve immediately.
