Instrucciones
- 1
Preheat your oven to ![375°F]. Lightly grease a 9-inch round or square baking dish (or a cast iron skillet) with cooking spray or a thin layer of olive oil.
- 2
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer or sturdy spatula until smooth and fluffy, about 1 minute. Add the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until fully combined.
- 3
Spread the seasoned cream cheese mixture in an even layer across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth it all the way to the edges.
- 4
Spoon the pizza sauce evenly over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently so you don't disturb the layer beneath. Leave a small border around the edge if you like.
- 5
Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza sauce. Then scatter the pepperoni slices, diced green bell pepper, and black olives (if using) over the cheese.
- 6
Top with the remaining ½ cup of mozzarella cheese and all of the Parmesan cheese, spreading evenly so every bite gets plenty of melty cheese.
- 7
Place the baking dish on a baking sheet (to catch any bubbling drips) and bake at ![375°F] for 18–22 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
- 8
For extra golden color on top, switch the oven to ^[broil] for the last 2–3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning. Remove from the oven and let rest for 3–5 minutes.
- 9
Scatter fresh basil over the top if using. Serve immediately in the baking dish alongside toasted baguette slices, breadsticks, or pita chips for dipping.
